Friends of SUBA Blog Hop August 2018 – Summer holiday.

Hello and welcome to the Friends of SUBA August Blog Hop. You are currently visiting me , Gina Connor AKA Emerald Kreations from Northern Ireland. This month our theme is Summer Holiday. If you are hopping along you will have arrived here from Deborah at DJC Creativity.

If you are wondering what Friends of SUBA  is about- well we are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who met at Louise Sims and PIp Todman’s IT training. SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels and you can head over to their website here.

We actually have quiet a few stamp sets that are appropriate for this theme. As our weather in Northern Ireland has turned wet again, I’m dreaming of golden beaches, palm trees and Sunshine! So I decided to use the “Waterfront” stamp set for my blog. This is a great stamp set as it can be used for many different themes as I have used it before and you can see what I did here.

I used the Shimmer card as I find that it is easy to use when water colouring. I stamped the sun in So Saffron ink first before filling in the rest of the sky. The sky colour is Coastal Cabana diluted and spread over 3/4 of the piece of card that I used and allowed it to dry before stamping the other images. The sea is stamped with Coastal Cabana ink also but stamped off once to give a softer, more watery look.

My layer measurements are; Top Layer – 5.5cm x 8cm                                                                                                              Middle Layer – 6cm x 8.5cm                                                                                                          Bottom Layer – 6.5cm x 9cm

Now wouldn’t that be the perfect Summer Holiday! Thank you so much for joining me today. Please click on the button below to hop over to Caro at Craft with Caro.
