Good morning and welcome to the first Stampin’ Creative Crew blog hop of 2019. A new year brings a new day and time for our hop, we have moved to a Thursday morning at 10am.Our theme this month is Simple Stamping.
Our theme this month is Simple Stamping. Stampin’ Up! are promoting Simple Stamping to show that it doesn’t have to be a complex fold or design to be beautiful. Less is more! If you are considering a new hobby and would maybe like to give stamping a try, then this blog hop will give you some beautiful inspiration to give it a go!
Rooted In Nature
When choosing a stamp set, I do like a stamp set that is complete with pictures and sentiments. For the Simple Stamping theme this month, I choose the Rooted in Nature stamp set. At first glance its a very masculine set, but I thought I would show you that by using different colours, that it can be a stamp set for any occasion or anyone!
I have made two cards for this blog hop. The first is a single layer card using the “Thinking Of You” sentiment, 2 colours of ink Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam and some Frosted Flowers embellishments.
Stepped up version
With the second card I am using the same stamp from the Rooted in Nature stamp set but this time I have layered it adding a different colour of card and adding some DSP ( Designer Series Paper).I used a 3/4 inch punch to take a notch out of the corners of the white card.
