Stampin’ Creative Crew October Blog Hop Features Favourite Of The Season

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Crew blog hop for October. You are currently visiting Gina Connor – Emerald Kreations from Northern Ireland. The theme this month is “Favourite of the Season”.

This has to be the easiest blog hop ever! We have been allowed to blog about our favourite stamp set/ bundle or product of the season. Without a doubt, for me it has to be First Frost! From the moment that I saw the suite in the Autumn Winter catalogue I fell in love with it. I love the versatility of this suite as it can be used for any occasion. Stampin’ Up! have created the most beautiful suite with Designer Series Paper using the most gorgeous colour scheme, along with embellishments and co- ordinating ribbon.

A few weeks ago myself and team member Emma Fawcett hosted our first ever weekend retreat. Each lady attending the retreat received this full suite and on the Saturday we spent the day making projects using this suite.

I thought I would share with you one of the cards that I designed for one of the projects.

This is a single layer card, using our Thick Whisper White card. I stamped the greeting in Smoky Slate, the sprig in Mossy meadow and the thistles in Pool Party ink.

I also used the dies to cut a sprig in Glitter card. This was then assembled at the side of the greeting in a “posy”. A cute little bow completed the arrangement. I love the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets!

There are a few more projects using the First Frost suite which I will share with you shortly.
