Friends of SUBA October Blog Hop – Autumn

Hello and welcome to the Friends of SUBA October blog hop. You are currently visiting me, Gina Connor AKA emerald Kreations from Northern Ireland. This month our theme is Autumn. If you are hopping along , you will have arrived here from Deborah at DJC Creativity.

If you are wondering what Friends of SUBA is all about – we are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who met at Louise Sims and Pip Todman’s IT training. SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels and you can find out more about them here.

I love this time of the year! Every morning when I open the bedroom curtains and look out at my garden, the colours are so gorgeous especially if the sun is shining! I live in the country so we have the pleasure of seeing wild animals on a regular basis. A few years ago we had a resident male pheasant. He was quite a character, strutting around our garden as if he owned it!

So when I saw the stamp set Pleasant Pheasants in the new Autumn/ Winter catalogue I just had to have it! It’s a great set which will come in handy for those male birthday cards.

I used my blend pens to colour the image in . The background of the card is from Wood Textures DSP pack. I stuck it directly onto the Early Expresso base card which measures 5.5 inches by 5.5 inches.

I added a Rose Gold leaf from Leaves Trinkets as a little bit of detail and knotted a piece of twine. I haven’t added a sentiment to the card as I don’t have an occasion for it at the moment .

Thank you so much for visiting with me today. To continue hopping , click on the link below and you can see what Ginny has featured for her autumnal project.

What a gorgeous card Gina. Love the blended colouring of the pheasants. The curved rounded corners of the card truly add an effect. xx
