Friends of SUBA July Blog Hop – Colour Combo

Good morning and welcome to the Friends of SUBA July Blog Hop. We are a group of demonstrators who have attended the Simply Unique Business Angels courses organized by Louise Simms and Pip Todman, to help us with the technology side of our business. I would certainly recommend these courses if you are looking for any help with your blog. Here is the link to their business page.

This month we are doing something a little different! We are doing a Colour Combo Challenge- and believe me it was a challenge! You would think that as I come from the Emerald Isle (Northern Ireland) and that we are supposed to have 40 shades of green, that I shouldn’t have had a problem with this challenge but I did! I really struggled with one of the colours, it would be unfair of me to say which colour it was but any of my customers will know straight off which one it is! If you can guess which shade of green that I had problems with please comment below.

Today I used The Floral Frames bundle on page 135 in the Annual catalogue- it has a variety of leaves in the dies that I thought I could use on my card. I particularly like the font that is used in the sentiments in the stamp set.

If you look closely, you can see that the framelits actually emboss texture as well as cut the leaves.

Isn’t that clever?

I am actually quite pleased how this card turned out as I really was out of my comfort zone using only three different shades of green.

I hope you like what I have come up with. Thank you for visiting my blog today. To continue hopping please click on the link below and it will take you to Carrie at the Inky Nook- I’m sure you will be inspired by what Carrie has come up with!
