Hello and welcome to this month’s Fancy Fold design team Blog Hop. The Fancy Fold design team are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we feature a different fancy Fold card. You are currently visiting me- Gina Connor AKA Emerald Kreations from Northern Ireland in the UK.This month we are featuring a fun fold – The Peekaboo Slider Card.
This Fancy Fold Blog Hop always gives me a double challenge each month, firstly very often it is a fancy fold that I have not made before and secondly creating the card with a stamp set that I think that would suit it but also be a little different. This is my first time making a Peekaboo Slider Card and I really enjoyed it!
This month I have reached for the Perennial birthday Stamp set again. I love a stamp set that has beautiful images and also has appropriate sentiments.
I used Crumb cake for the base card and then layered it with Whisper White. I coloured the flower images in with Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz markers. Then I fussy cut them with my snips- I actually find this relaxing and I know some of you might think not! I stamped the sentiments with Crumb Cake and added a few Jewels for a little bit of sparkle. A little touch of Wink Of Stella lifts a little bit of the Pear Pizzazz ink and gives it a subtle shade of green.
The trick with this card is, when you open it you can initially see one message but as the card is opened fuller, another message comes across it.
Clever isn’t it ?
