Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – April Showers

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative April blog hop. The theme this month is April Showers- how apt is that! You are currently visiting me – Gina Connor AKA Emerald Kreations, from Northern Ireland.

When I started to think about April Showers, there is only one stamp set that fits the title for me and that is Weather Together .Not only do we need our umbrellas this month but we still need to wear our thermals! Is summer ever going to come?

This is what I did with the stamp set.

I stamped the umbrella twice with Pool Party ink, the stamped the little flowers images randomly inside the umbrella image. I then coloured some of the flowers with the light Calypso Coral blend pens , adding a darker Calypso Coral in the centre.

I stuck the outer edges together with liquid glue and added 2 Dimensional’s in the centre to create a 2 dimensional effect.

I used the tear drop dies to cut out the rain drops and put a layer of Sparkle glimmer paper in behind. I also die cut some raindrops out with  the glimmer paper and added them to the top of the umbrella.

I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment in Calpso Coral.

I hope you have enjoyed hopping with me. To continue hopping, click on the name below mine in the list below and it will take you to the next blog.

Love your happy floral umbrella! And the hint of glimmer raindrops is just perfect – if only raindrops fell as glitter

Oh Gina, that is such a pretty umbrella, that I’d like to know if it comes in a full size version? Beautiful tasteful card. I love the direction of the rain drops x
