Friends of SUBA bring you Easter Inspiration

Hello and welcome to the first ever “Friends of SUBA” blog hop, bringing you Easter Inspiration! If you are following the hop along, you will have arrived here from the very talented Mikaela where I know you will have received beautiful creative Easter Inspiration!

Well if you are wondering what SUBA stands for, it is Simply Unique Business Angels. My dear friends Pip Todman and Louise Simms recognized a need to support demonstrators who want to develop their blogging skills. I cannot recommend them enough! You can check out their facebook page here.

As this blog post is to bring you Easter Inspiration, I just had to use this beautiful stamp set again. Its called You’re Inspiring and the images of the daffodils are so beautiful. After such a long winter, having daffodils in the garden is a welcome sight! The yellow is so vibrant compared to the dull dead grass and bare hedges.

I have kept the colour scheme simple – So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. I did however use Old Olive when I coloured in the leaves as it is more realistic.

A favourite technique of mine when colouring in beautiful images is to use our Stampin’ Markers, using the brush tip end and colour the image directly on the stamp. So no black lines! I then use the Wink of Stella pen and blend the colours in, lifting a little ink from the stamp if necessary. This gives a soft delicate image on the card. The Wink of Stella also gives a discreet sparkle which I love.
