Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop February 2018 From The Garden

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop February 2018. This month the theme is all about “From the Garden”.

You are currently visiting Gina Connor aka Emerald Kreations all the way from Northern Ireland. If you are following the hop, you will have arrived here from the lovely Emma and I’m sure her project was stunning as always!

As this month’s theme is from the garden, I had to use the beautiful ” You’re Inspiring ” stamp set. This week we have the first daffodils blossom in the garden and it is so delightful to see some colour after months of nothing but brown leaves and dull grass.

I did something a little different with this card. I inked the flower image with the brush tip end of the Daffodil Delight and Always Artichoke markers and set the stamp (unmounted) on to a piece of Whisper white card. I added some pressure to the stamp but then I left it sitting on the card. I then took a pencil and gently drew around the edge of the stamp which I then cut around with my Snips. Next I took a dauber and inked it with So Saffron ink and daubed around the edges.

You can see the outline of the stamp better in this photograph.

Since my garden is full of blown down branches from the winter storms, I thought I would use the branch from the Seasonal Layer Framelits. All the layering is on top of Shimmery White Embossing Paste which I am totally in love with! I love a little bit of sparkle!

The stamp set is very versatile as it has greetings for a few occasions such as Happy Birthday or as I have used it here – Happy Easter.

Next on the blog hop is the lovely Caro. to continue hopping, click on the “Next ” button below and it will take you straight to Caro’s blog where you can see her project for “From The Garden “.
