Good morning! When I received the new Spring/ Summer catalogue and had a quick flick through it, there was one stamp set that jumped out at me straight away and I new it would be at the top of my wish list!
It is the beautiful Waterfront stamp set on page 48. The images are as if someone actually used a paint brush and I just loved it! I got out a selection of ink pads to see what colour scheme I would go with and decided on Island Indigo for the water, Always Artichoke for the trees, Pear Pizzazz for the mountains, So Saffron for the sun and then used a Aqua Painter and lifted some Island Indigo onto the brush and very subtly added the colour to the sky.
After I had completed the picture I then added some Wink of Stella to the sun and the water and it gave a wonderful effect- as if the water was glistening in the sunshine! The Wink of Stella also blended the ink on the paper , giving a smoother image. It may be a little difficult to see the twinkle in the photograph.
The sentiment came from Teeny Tiny Sentiments which is a great set with 24 sentiments to choose from.
I stamped the sentiment with Early Expresso ink and mounted the completed image on Early Expresso card.
I hope you like the finished card .
