Stampin’ Creative September Blog Hop – Trick or Treat

Hello and welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. If you are following the blog, you will have arrived at my blog from the very talented Sarah. This month’s theme is Trick or Treat. I’m not really into Halloween so I thought I would do something a little different and make a little magic slider card using the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and co-ordinating thinlet dies.

I cased this this card from the catalogue but have made it into an Easel Card and I have used my favourite colour scheme – Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Whisper White with a little bit of glitter to finish it off!

Z Cards Galore Class

Last week we had a “z cards”class, where all the cards were various styles of z cards. You would not believe the variety ! This card that we made was my favourite! The ladies all received a pack of the Serene Scenery stack of dsp and this lovely paper reminded me of a cosy blanket for a baby. The stamp set is “Baby Bear” and my goodness it is such a gorgeous stamp! We stamped 3 layers of the bear in 3 different colours, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe. It really is a gorgeous stamp set and  the bear has a definite “wow” factor !

Cool for Kits Stampin Creative Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog – Emerald Kreations. If you are following the Stampin Creative blog hop you will have arrived here from the lovely Eimear!  Wasn’t her blog fabulous?

This month’s theme is all about our gorgeous cool kits. With that in mind I decided to use the “Perfectly Wrapped” stamp set and kit. It is such a fun kit to use as everything apart from adhesive is included in the kit along with the instructions and the colours are so vibrant! Even better that it comes with 4 of everything !

We have been invited out to dinner tonight and we are having pasta ! So I have used the kit for the packaging of some Italien desert wine and Amareti biscuits which we bought on a visit to Tuscany earlier this year, for our hosts.

Perfectly wrapped kit

I hope you agree that this is a gorgeous kit to play with. Now if you want to pop over to see what the lovely Kim Fee has made, just click on the button below.Stampin' Creative Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative June Blog Hop. Currently you are visiting me ! Gina Connor. Hello ! I am very honoured to have been invited to take part in this amazing group of crafters. You  can continue hopping by using the “Next ” button at the bottom of this post .

The theme this month is “On Trend”. Everywhere you look these days, you see tropical flowers, flamingos and pineapples. I love flowers so I thought I would make a card using the Botanical Blooms stamp set and co ordinating dies. By using bright colours I thought it would look ” tropical ” .

Blooms and Wishes !

I thought I would share with you one of the cards that the ladies attending my class will be making at the Dunsilly event on Saturday. I love easel cards, they are simple to make and sit beautifully when put on display. I am making various projects with the Blooms and Wishes stamp set and co-ordinating designer series paper in my classes. The colour scheme is a firm favourite of mine! I will post the other projects after the event on Saturday !

A fold with a difference !

I received the following card as a swap from Susan Campfield from America.

I liked the fold so much that I made it using different colours in class on Monday. We revisited ” Watercolour Wings ” stamp set and this is one of the cards that we made. It consists of 3 layers.

This is the first layer.

This is the second layer.

And this is the third / middle layer. So instead of having a single layered insert , you have a double insert !

I used the designer series paper “A little Foxy “from the Foxy Friends suite. The colours are CalypsoCoral, Smokey Slate and Whisper White. Suitable for all occasions! I think you may see more variations of this fold !

Thank you for visiting my blog , if you wish to place an online order please don’t forget to add this month’s hostess code M6Q9RKBF.

Explosion Box Tutorial

Some months ago at one of my events we made this Explosion Box.

I thought I would share wIth you the tutorial should you wish to make it. I shall add a list of the products that I used at the end of the tutorial.

1. Take a piece of Whisper White card measuring 93/4″ x 93/4″ , score at 31/4″ and 61/2″ both ways. This explosion was designed to fit our 3″ x 3″ envelopes. When I talk about “dsp” I am talking about designer series paper !

2. Next cut from each outside corner into the next scored corner , as in the photogragh. I used the Stampin trimmer to do this .

3. Next I want to make the little pockets. I put a fine line of glue along the bottom to stick a triangle across and then add the coloured card / dsp  to decorate it . The coloured card / dsp is 3″ square cut diagonally in half.

4. Do all four pockets so that it looks like the picture below.

5. I turned the ” box ” over and decorated the outside sides with 3″x 3″ dsp .

6. I want to make a little gift bag to put inside the box next! I take a piece of dsp measuring 6″ x 6″. Score it on side at 11/2″ and 41/2 ” , turn and on the other side score at 21/4″ and 33/4″. So that it looks like the picture below.

7. Stick  the sides together adding Tombow glue. First sticking one side to the centre box and then overlapping the other side.

8. Punch 2 holes and tie the ribbon in a bow .

9. We need to make the lid for the box next. We want to make it slightly bigger to allow for a good fit. So we take a piece of Whisper White card measuring 53/8″ square.

Score 1″ around all edges and cut into the creases as below to make your lid.

Decorate as you wish !

10. To make the little cards for the envelopes, I cut each card 6″ x 3 ” and score in the middle. I added dsp and some embellishments . These will fit in the little pockets along with your envelopes.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial . If you have any problems please get in touch with me at
